Christy Zamani

Christy Zamani is the Executive Director of Day One and brings over twenty years of fiscally responsible experience in dynamic and diverse non-profit organizational settings; such as, community based organizations, educational institutions and local businesses.

Christy has served as the Day One Executive Director since 2007, sharing her hands-on experience in public policy, coalition development, community health, innovative marketing, and youth leadership development to Day One and the greater community. Prior to her work at Day One, Christy served on the Executive Cabinet for the California State University, Office of the Chancellor from 1999-2004.

Christy’s passion lies in empowering disenfranchised communities, amplifying community voices, and advancing public health. She is committed to the well-being of people. Developing and improving programs and policies that strengthen the health of all populations - especially those at greater risk. Christy has over a decade of experience in chairing coalitions, facilitating community engagement meetings, public health training, and streamlining communications and strategic plans to maximize community inclusion and collective impact.
