What Is a Long-Term Recovery Group?
A Long Term Recovery Group is a community-based collaboration of organizations working together to help individuals and families recover from disaster. Our LTRG brings together nonprofits, faith-based groups, businesses, community organizations, and government partners to ensure everyone affected by the Eaton Fire receives the support they need.
Our Mission:
The mission of the EFC-LTRG is to coordinate recovery services and mobilize resources to assist individuals and families in Altadena, Pasadena, Sierra Madre, and the greater Eaton Canyon region affected by the Eaton Fire. Through cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration, it is committed to supporting a survivor-centered, equitable, and locally driven long-term recovery process that ensures every community member has the opportunity to rebuild and recover fully
Many Fire Survivors Face Significant Challenges
Being Underinsured or Uninsured
Navigating Complex Rebuilding Processes
Addressing Ongoing Emotional and Mental Health Needs
Replacing Essential Household Items
Rebuilding Homes and Lives
The LTRG ensures that these needs don't fall through the cracks, especially for the most vulnerable members of our community.
Where We Are in the Recovery Process
We have moved from the Initial Recovery Phase (days to weeks) into the Interim Recovery Phase (up to 18 months), where we recently formed our LTRG in order to coordinate case management and address unmet needs.

How the LTRG Works
The LTRG brings together organizations that can provide the "Three M's":
Money
Funding to meet community needs
Muscle
Volunteers who can help with rebuilding and support
Materials
Tangible resources needed for recovery
Key Components of our LTRG include:
Disaster Case Management
Working one-on-one with survivors to identify needs, connect with resources, and develop recovery plans.
Volunteer Coordination
Organizing help from local and national volunteer organizations.
Unmet Needs Roundtable
Bringing together funders and service providers to address gaps that other assistance programs cannot fill.
Reconstruction Support
Coordinating rebuilding efforts and connecting survivors with qualified contractors.

We want you to know, help is coming.
If you're trying to decide whether to rebuild or facing challenges with insurance, we want you to know that help is on the way. The LTRG will provide support for years to come through our unmet needs process.
