Alexis Moreno

Alexis Moreno is a Sierra Madre resident who identifies as Chicana, a first generation college graduate and white-collar professional. She has worked as a program manager and consultant for community-based organizations and as an administrator for diversity and community partnerships at USC and Occidental College. Most recently, Alexis served as Associate Government Programs Analyst with the California Office of Emergency Services’ Public Assistance Branch working on LA Wildfire Recovery.

Throughout her career, Alexis has chosen roles where she can help to create a high quality of life for marginalized communities and contribute to community resilience. She values connectedness, being a good relative and ancestor and enjoys being a collaborative problem-solver. Alexis is a life-long learner who holds an M.A. in Urban Planning from UCLA. She enjoys reading science and speculative fiction, yoga, working with herbs, going to concerts, hiking, and travelling.
